4 stars. This sci-fi romance has a Little bit of everything for everybody; gorgeous, powerfully built men,
beautiful, full-figured women, an alien planet with warrior women, adventure, excitement and hot steamy love scenes. An enticing story full of
characters so real they seem to jump off the page.

Affaire de Coeur.

LOVE'S CAPTIVE had me captivated from the very beginning. I actually snarled at
my family and ignored my cat, not wanting any distractions to pull me away from the planet Volarn and its people. Combining s/f with fantasy and
romance, Myra Nour has written an exciting, action-packed story. The descriptions of the alien planet, the characters, and even their "pets" are
so vividly described that readers will be able to clearly picture them in their minds. The love scenes are somewhat steamy, but tastefully done.
I'm definitely hooked on this series and anxiously awaiting the 2nd book, which will feature the warrior Kasha. Congratulations, Ms. Nour, you
have written a keeper!

LOVE'S CAPTIVE is a fantastic voyage to a magical planet where the men are handsome, the women are
beautiful, but all is not well. Not only are the women barren, but the enemy has been taunting them along their borders, and daily skirmishes
threaten the seemingly peaceful atmosphere. Ms. Nour has created a fabulous world with its own traditions, language, and even an extra sun and moon.
Her detailed descriptions of fabric, flora, fauna, and the intricacies of the Volarnian culture show an amazing and fantastic imagination. And
I can't omit the sizzling sparks that fly between Serena and her dashing king. Brave and bold, she is, nevertheless, a woman, and Rhamus is one
awesome man! Beautifully written, with characters that demand your undivided attention, LOVE'S CAPTIVE cannot be missed!

Magic, space travel, fantastical creatures, an intriguing storyline, lovely romance.
Serena (a 6'2" female wrestler - there's a unique romance heroine!) and 99 other women have been abducted by
aliens and taken to Volarn, a planet whose population is dying off because many of the women are infertile. The Volarnians have determined that Earthlings
are physically and genetically compatible with them. This first 'test case' shipment of Earth women will reveal whether they can produce Volarnian babies.
The alien captors made an effort to select only women who had no close family or friends on Earth, therefore serving the dual purpose of making their
disappearance less noticeable and making it easier on the women to give up their old lives. Now it's up to the women to adjust and make new lives for
themselves on Volarn.
This book stayed in my hand through phone calls, dinner time, and past bedtime. I didn't put it down until
finishing it at 2 a.m. -- a wonderful, intriguing story and characters. I really liked Rhamus, the hero. There were a few points early in the relationship
where he was the obnoxious alpha -- you know, just laugh at the Little woman rather than take her seriously, because he knows that as soon as he kisses
her she'll just melt and forgive him anything. But overall the hero is a caring male, communicates well, admits his mistakes, and shows real concern for
the heroine's happiness. The 'world' the author created was an interesting mix of medieval-type culture exposed to futuristic technology. A society trying
to get the best from both. The society has basic equality between men and women, women can even be warriors. There is the "destined" aspect of
selecting mates, which is a plot device I enjoy. Ms. Nour's version is especially good because it is explained that the 'Tarthra' selects mates who are
compatible and can love each other, but is not some magic guarantee of life-long bliss. The man and woman still have to work out their relationship and
will still have the normal disagreements and problems as any couple.
It has magic, space travel, fantastical creatures and an intriguing storyline with interesting and
realistic characters. I am looking forward to the sequel, HEART OF THE DRAGON.

"Serena is an incredible heroine with so many wonderful hidden secrets..."
… All of this was well worth reading as we learn about Volarn's culture and then the unthinkable happens; Serena is kidnapped by
the enemy! What the enemy puts Serena though is horrific and I really admire authors that are able to create absolutely well written scenes
rather than taking an easy out. Also, the events leading to Serena's recovery were well thought out, and I think very original. Ms Nour has
created a situation where Serena has to discover that the emotions she has held locked deep with-in herself about her husband and even her
past effect her present and future. LOVE'S CAPTIVE has thoroughly engaging secondary characters with Kasha and Jarvic and I'm really excited
to know that they have their own stories.

A heavenly read! Exciting! I did not think this one would be all that great.
Females kidnapped for breeding of aliens is a well-known plot. However, Myra Nour has succeeded in creating a series to change my mind! I grew
fond of several characters, I hear Princess Kasha will get her own story. I hope Jarvic does too! I shudder at the thought of what the
Volarnians have as pets. In fact, I refuse to give it away. Readers, if you Futuristic Romances or Fantasy Romances, then this one is a MUST!
I highly recommend it!

Mystic Visions Reviews (Rating 5 moons - Excellent, buy it!)

Myra has painted a fascinating world for Volarn, with its beauty, uniqueness
but also a civil war. Her characters are very well portrayed, and I found myself thinking about Serena and Rhamus long after I finished reading
the story each day. Love's Captive has a Little of everything - s/f, fantasy and lots of romance. Myra Nour writes a wonderful relationship,
including some pretty hot love scenes. While I don't rate books, I would say that Love's Captive was a wonderful introduction to the world of
futuristic romance!

The Road to Romance Reviews

Love's Captive by Myra Nour is mesmerizing. The Volarnians are desperately
trying to keep their race from extinction and will go to any means to accomplish their goal. Including capturing Earth women and transporting
them to their planet. Serena, enchanted by her new husband, the king, soon finds herself loving the people and trying to bring other Earth
women and Volarnians under one law. Close you eyes and you'll be able to see the breath taking sunsets and hear the amazing Konkols sing their
nightly songs as you read Love's Captive. A Story Only Found In Dreams. Watch for the sequels. Once you've read Love's Captive, you'll want to

Rating - 3 hearts (4 heart rating system) A good read, an author to watch out for.
A great story which portrays very well another planet similar to Earth but still vastly different. A good read with very likeable characters, even the kidnappers.
I look forward to reading the sequels.

A delightful and sexy space romp will leave you feeling that love really does conquer
all
A most enjoyable read! Once I started it, I was unable to put it down. Ms. Nour's characters came to life within the pages of
this delightful and sexy space romp. Earth women are abducted and taken to the Planet Volarn, a planet where most of its female population is sterile.
Serena is one of the females kidnapped and is immediately chosen by King Rhamus to be his Queen. (Loved how the choosing was done!) The interaction
between Serena and the Rhamus throughout the story is priceless. Not to mention some pretty sizzling love scenes. This story will leave you feeling
that love really does conquer all. King Rhamus is a true Alpha male, 7 feet tall, thick black hair, rippling muscles and violet eyes *swoon* (Take me
to your leader!) and to top it off he has a gentle heart. He knows right away that he loves Serena but will Serena give herself the chance to return
this gentle giant's love? Or will she attempt to return to earth?Ms. Nour has built a strong cast of secondary characters as well. They are well
developed, and I'm hoping to hear more about them in the future. Serena's friend Nicole is a hoot! This is the first book that I have read from this
author and the first book in the Volarn Trilogy, and I eagerly await more from her. Certainly will remain on my "Keeper" shelf. I highly
recommend Love's Captive.

As a reviewer, I must admit that I am not a big reader of science fiction/romance. However, once I started reading this book I
found it delightfully entertaining. It was an easy read with good character development, just the right touch of humor and a plot that flows nicely.
And even better, this is the first in a trilogy so there will be more trips to Volarn and their special world.
