Raynor removes his clothes and shapeshifts into a werewolf. Fearing her desire for the werewolf, Briana runs down another tunnel and through an opening into what she believes is a courtyard.

"Raynor follows Briana by tracking her scent trail, only to discover she has fled through a time portal. He consults with the elders of his people to understand why she fled from him and they help determine what time period she went to. He then follows her into medieval England, where he has to convince her she is a shifter and teach her to work with him so they can return to the present.

"Vampire Fangs and Venom manages to combine vampires, werewolves, mythical beasts, aliens and time travel into one story. The presence of these diverse characteristics is well thought out and well explained. The life in Medieval England is described with enough detail to give the reader the flavor of the time period but not so much as to bog down the story. Every detail given serves a purpose and is not just there for information's sake. Ms. Nour's characters are well developed and behave in a believable and convincing manner. The shifters she has created have many unique characteristics and abilities. I truly enjoyed this book and hope Ms. Nour has plans to write other stories involving shifters."

Shifters Desire 1: Vampire Fangs & Venom has left a distinctive mark in it's own right as a shape shifter tale! This was my first read by Ms. Nour, and certainly won't be my last if she continues to weave stories with this kind of grit! Wild, uninhibited, and extraordinarily imaginative are mere words in light of the talent this author has unleashed to this unsuspecting reader! ...

The chemistry between Briana and Raynor was exquisite and refreshing in that Raynor wasn't always traipsing around with body parts standing at attention, just because Briana had a pulse! The time taken to distinguish the physical attraction between the two was well rounded by the effort put into also establishing their emotional connection...

The subject of time travel, mingled with the shape shifting might have been difficult considering the many questions that arise about both. Ms. Nour handled nearly every aspect with a showing of good research and sensitivity to the ever-curious mind!

There is an element of unpleasantness to this story that I must warn you of, however this reader felt it was integral to the plot, and well written with a gentle pen. This reader can't wait for the next installment, who knows what might take shape? LOL

His patience with her inexperience is heartwarming and I found myself saying, "How sweet." As for Brianna; well her strength and courage throughout the entire ordeal makes her number one in my book.

"What do you do when almost every night for years you have been having dreams of a mysterious lover who leaves you "wet and satisfied", especially if the last dream becomes more bizarre than any other and your lover shifts into a wolf? Well, you go on vacation to one of those resorts where they combine good Daiquiris (Margarita anyone?), massages and spiritual retreats. Briana thinks she's losing it, she's restless and knows that she might end her days with Zanax and learning how to do crafts. She gets in her car, goes driving to an isolated park and climbs a mountain to a strange cave, where she meets a gorgeous man in jeans and a polo shirt. Why, why don't these things happen to me? I climb caves and find bats. Raynor informs Briana that he is her mate and that both of them are not "what they seem", and to prove it, he changes into a wolf. Yes, the same wolf she had sex with (is that you baby?). Briana, in her fear, runs out of the cave and unknowingly goes through a time portal, with Raynor hard on her heels, no pun intended. They end up in a ruined castle with a furnished room. Raynor informs her of what it will take to get back to their own time; and it is no machine, it is sex, lots of nice and creative sex and we are not only talking positions here.

"Raynor is a strong and sensitive man. He will be her guide to find her true self, physically and spiritually. He knows that before they can be transported back, he will have to help her to acknowledge that what she has thought to be her "dreamworld" has more than a touch of reality. Raynor unselfishly mentors her throughout her return home, teaching her to "suck it here and put it there". Briana becomes an adept student, applying herself eagerly, though she is not sure if she is the one enjoying herself or the other "self" she becomes. The only problem with this is that she is never sure if Raynor is in love and lust with her or the powerful goddess she can become, apart from the gourmet eating habits that incidentally, become the solution to how to be gainfully employed when you are out of place and time.

"Ms. Nour has a very descriptive and humorous style of writing. We knew that from her previous books and she is becoming better and better. You get to know and love her characters, the dialog and interaction between them is fluid and becomes familiar to you, like eavesdropping. I would like to hear more from Raynor and Briana and wonder what will become of them and any offspring they may have (will they shift into bunnies?), and if the story isn't enough, you have the cover......and yes, I did try to move the tail."
